Pick up service at your hotel and after breakfast drive to visit these temples :
1. SAMBISARI TEMPLE.
Sambisari temple is unique temple because located 6 meters under gound because of burried by Merapi volcano material. This temple was built in 9 century in Mataram kingdom period. The temple was found in 1966
by local farmer when his mattock collind stone of temple.
2. SARI TEMPLE.
This is budha temple and was built in 9 century as monk's residence. Its roof was decorated with 9 stupas
and composed into 3 lines. Under stupa available room and the room has function for : monk's residence, meditation
and teaching student.
3. KALASAN TEMPLE.
This is budha temple and as built in 8 century. The temple as built by king Rakai Panangkaran of Sanjaya
dynasty with old cement namely : Vajralepa. Decoration and relief are located in the wall outside of the temple
is very beautiful.
4. SEWU TEMPLE.
Sewu temple is budha temple and was built in 8 century. It has 4 entrance gates and main gate face to the east.
There are 249 temples and unfortunately mostly ruins. Possible see Dwarapala giant statues with high 2,50 meters.
5. PLAOSAN TEMPLE.
This is budha temple and was built in 9 century. The temple consist of 2 main temples, 58 perwara temples and
126 stupas. Estimated was built by King Rakai Pikatan [Hindhu] and his wife Pramodawardani [Budha].
6. BANYUNIBO TEMPLE.
This temple is budha temple and was built in 9 century. The temple is located in the isolated area - in the middle
of rice field.
7. RATU BOKO ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE.
Ratu Boko is archeological site was built in 8 century. Firstly built for religious activities then change
function as political activities. Visitor can find audience hall, pool, main gate. There 2 kind of heritage from
hindhus and budha location.
8. IJO TEMPLE.
Ijo temple is hindus temple and was built in 9 century. The temple is located in the altitude 410 meters
above sea level and beautiful panorama can be seen from here. The temple consist of one main temple and three
perwara temples.
9. PRAMBANAN TEMPLE.
Prambanan temple is the greatest and most beautiful hindhus temple in Indonesia was built in 9 century. Totaly
there are 240 temples but unfornately mostly ruins because of Merapi volcano eruption. Still 18 temples can be
visited at location.
Lunch served at local restaurant and in the late afternoon return back to your hotel. End of service.
